Anyboat Marine Electronics files for allegedly unpaid invoices

Late 04

SAN FRANCISCO – A California corporation alleges that several ocean-going vessels have not paid for services and goods it provided.

Anyboat Marine Electronics filed a complaint on May 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against vessel APL China, vessel APL Thailand, vessel APL Philippines, vessel APL Singapore, vessel APL Korea and APL Maritime LTD, citing breach of contract, unjust enrichment and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between 2012 and 2013, it provided and installed marine electronics to the defendants.  The plaintiff holds vessel APL China, vessel APL Thailand, vessel APL Philippines, vessel APL Singapore, vessel APL Korea and APL Maritime LTD responsible because the defendants allegedly agreed to pay for the invoices for the services sent by plaintiff but failed in doing so.

The plaintiff seeks the amount due, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Joshua E. Kirsch and C. Joseph Ou of Gibson Robb & Lindh LLP in San Francisco.
