Former Vigilant Canine Services International employees claim they are owed wages

Law money 12

SACRAMENTO – Several former employees have filed class-action suit against a Red Bluff-based business alleging that they are still owed wages.

Alastair McGuire, Daniel McCalister, Darren Goodall, George Fort and Rosy Jones filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Feb. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Vigilant Canine Services International LLC, Buckley D. Dikes II and Does 1 through 50 alleging breach of contract, unfair business practices, violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that between 2013 and 2015, they were employed by the defendants. They allege they did not receive their last payment for their final month worked and have not received money retained by the defendants from their first paychecks.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek injunctive relief, statutory and punitive damages, all other damages, all legal fees, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Mark R. Thierman, Joshua D. Buck and Leah L. Jones of Therman Buck LLP in Reno.
