Dry cleaners file suit over contractual dispute

Contract 02

SACRAMENTO – A Placer County couple has filed suit alleging a contractual dispute over a dry cleaning business.

Charanjeev Singh Virk and Kamalpreet Virk filed a complaint on June 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network LLC and Does 1 to 10 alleging violation of business and profession codes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages as a result of their franchise being terminated and being restricted on continuing their dry cleaning business by the defendant. The plaintiffs hold Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network LLC and Does 1 to 10 responsible because the defendant allegedly claimed that the plaintiffs could no longer continue with their dry cleaning business after they've terminated their franchise because of trade secrets.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek declaration of rights and interests, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Gaurav Bobby Kalra of Attorney at Law in Folsom.
