SAN DIEGO – A film company alleges that an unknown internet user in the court's district has been illegally distributing copies of its movie.
LHF Productions Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Doe-68.224.169.24 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant, who is only known by his/her internet protocol address, used BitTorrent to illegally share a large number of copyrighted titles, including plaintiff's "London Has Fallen" movie.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant, permanent injunction against the defendant from distributing plaintiff's movie, damages, attorney's fees and further relief as the court deems proper. It is represented by James S. Davis in Chula Vista.
