Man alleges Fill'n Brew reusable coffee holder infringes patented design

Patents 02

LOS ANGELES – A Whittier man that develops and markets reusable beverage capsules for Keurig brewers alleges a Pennsylvania business sells infringing products.

Adrian Rivera filed a complaint on Oct. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against LaMi Products Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he and his ARM Enterprises Inc. lost profits and suffered damages. The plaintiff holds LaMi Products Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly makes a reusable brewing capsule known as Fill'n Brew that infringes one or more claims of plaintiff's '871 and '872 patents.

The plaintiff seeks all damages, interest, to enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's patents, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by William A. Delgado of Willenken Wilson Loh & Delgado LLP in Los Angeles and Sudip Kundu and Matthew Cunningham of Kundu PLLC in Washington, D.C.
