Individual alleged to owe more than $2,000 for education loan

LOS ANGELES –  A Los Angeles County resident allegedly owes more than $2,000 on a student loan.

United States of America filed a complaint on Oct. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Cicely R. Buggs alleging that the individual failed to settle a debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Buggs allegedly failed to pay the principal balance of the debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $2,710.82, plus interest of $1,623.67 with interest accruing thereafter at 4.21 percent, plus legal fees. It is represented by Jacquelyne M. Nguyen of The Office of Jacquelyne M. Nguyen in Costa Mesa.
