Consumer alleges Office Depot continues to send unwanted texts

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County consumer alleges an office supply store continued to send texts after being asked to stop.

Jalen Epps filed a complaint on Nov. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Office Depot Inc. and Does 1-10 citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she initially consented to receive text messages from the defendant but later revoked her permission. The plaintiff holds Office Depot Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendant allegedly continued to send her texts.

The plaintiff seeks statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Scott J. Ferrell and Victoria C. Knowles of Pacific Trial Attorneys in Newport Beach.
