LOS ANGELES – A consumer claims a private lender engaged in an unlawful telemarketing campaign.

Samuel J. St. Romain filed a complaint on Nov. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Capital Advance Solutions LLC and Geoffrey Horn alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning July, the defendant contacted him in an attempt to solicit its services without the plaintiff's consent. The plaintiff holds Capital Advance Solutions LLC and Geoffrey Horn responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact the plaintiff and called plaintiff despite the fact his number is registered on the Do-Not-Call Registry.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award of damages, all legal fees, injunction against the defendant and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Samuel J. St. Romain of St. Romain Law in Long Beach.
