Orange County individual alleged to have defaulted on student loan

LOS ANGELES – An Orange County resident is alleged to owe more than $12,000 on an education loan.

United States of America filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Joe B. Wooten alleging that the individual failed to settle his debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Wooten failed to pay the principal amount of his debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $12,118.71 plus interest of $16,226.74, with interest accruing thereafter at 8 percent per year plus all legal fees. It is represented by Jacquelyne M. Nguyen and Kseniya Y. Stupak of Law Office of Jacquelyne M. Nguyen in Costa Mesa.
