LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles business alleges two companies sold garments that use a pattern similar or identical to its copyrighted design.
Fabric Selection Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Hot Shot HK LLC, doing business as Double Click; Rainbow USA Inc.; and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Fabric Selection Inc. suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Hot Shot HK LLC, Rainbow USA Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly manufactured and distributed garments that feature designs that are similar or identical to the plaintiff's copyrighted fabrics.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's designs, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just.
