LOS ANGELES – A Florida resident is accused of selling unauthorized copies of movies and TV shows on eBay.
20th Century Fox Film Corp. and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Rodrigo Riquelme and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that 20th Century Fox Film Corp. and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. suffered damages to their business. The plaintiffs hold Riquelme and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributes copies of plaintiff's motion pictures and television shows without permission.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiffs' copyrights, actual damages, statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by J. Andrew Coombs and Annie S. Wang in Glendale.
