LOS ANGELES – A Pasadena company claims a Los Angeles company is manufacturing products using its patented technology.
Lightwire LLC filed a complaint on Nov. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Lightpointe Communications Inc. alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Lightpointe Communications Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly imports and offers for sale its Lightpointe Aire X-Stream FSO System products, which the plaintiff alleges infringes at least one claim of plaintiff's '165, '950 and '217 patents titled High-Speed Data Transfer in a Networked Server Environment via Laser Communication.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks pay damages to the plaintiff plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Rasheed M. McWilliams, Daniel C. Cotman and Obi I. Iloputaife of Cotman IP Law Group PLC in Pasadena.
