LeadPoint Inc. accused of making unlawful telemarketing calls

Phone 06

RIVERSIDE – An Alta Loma resident alleges an advertising solutions provider unlawfully called him to refinance a residential mortgage.

Lucas Alex Ambrezewicz filed a complaint on behalf of himself and all others similarly situated on Nov. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Eastern Division against LeadPoint Inc. alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in August, he suffered damages from receiving unwanted calls to his cellular telephone from the defendant. The plaintiff holds LeadPoint Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to call the plaintiff despite the plaintiff's number being registered on the Do-Not-Call registry.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and statutory damages, disgorgement, injunction against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Peter J Gimino III of The Gimino Law Office APC in Irvine and Steven L. Woodrow and Patrick H. Peluso of Woodrow & Peluso LLC in Denver, Colorado.
