Advanced Commission LLC accused of sending unsolicited texts

LOS ANGELES – A San Luis Obispo County resident alleges a company he has never had a business relationship with has been sending text messages to his phone.

Terri Alves filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Nov. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Advanced Commission LLC and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016, the defendant sent him advertisement text messages on his cellular telephone without his consent. The plaintiff holds Advanced Commission LLC and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to send text messages to the plaintiff's phone

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, injunctive relief against the defendant and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Meghan E. George and Adrian R. Bacon of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
