LOS ANGELES – A Chicago company is alleged to have infringed a Pasadena company's patents.
Lightwire LLC filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Anova Technologies - SMG Holdings LLC and Does 1 to 5 alleging that they distributes products that infringes one or more claims of plaintiff's patent.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its patented designs infringed. The plaintiff holds Anova Technologies - SMG Holdings LLC and Does 1 to 5 responsible because the defendants allegedly sells radios to consumers that contain features that infringes plaintiff's '165, '217 and '950 patents, which are titled High-Speed Data Transfer in a Networked Server Environment via Laser Communication.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages plus interest, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Rasheed M. McWilliams, Daniel Cotman and Obi I. Iloputaife of Cotman IP Law Group PLC in Pasadena.
