LOS ANGELES – A Florida man is accused of making and distributing unauthorized copies of films and television shows.
20th Century Fox Film Corp. filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Matthew Saundry and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Saundry and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold unauthorized copies of plaintiff's TV shows and motion pictures to consumers on eBay.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendants, seize all unauthorized media products, actual damages, statutory damages, award damages and profits to the plaintiff, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by J. Andrew Coombs and Annie S. Wang of J. Andrew Coombs, a professional corporation in Glendale.
