LOS ANGELES – A Korean company alleges a line of cellphone cases infringes its patented design.
Spigen Korea Co. LTD filed a complaint on Nov. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Ispeaker Co. LTD and Does 1 through 10 alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Ispeaker Co. LTD and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sells their Damda Glide Series that infringes one or more claims to the plaintiff's '283 patent, which is titled Case Having a Storage Compartment for Electronic Devices.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award compensatory damages to the plaintiff, treble damages, interest, permanent injunction against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
