LOS ANGELES – An electronic cigarette designer alleges his patented design was used by a Torrance company without authorization.

Henry Chung filed a complaint on Nov. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Vaporous Technologies LLC, Christian Rado and Does 1-10 alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff owns the '812 patent for a particular electronic cigarette. The plaintiff holds Vaporous Technologies LLC, Rado and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed an electronic cigarette that infringes at least one claim of '812 patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, interest, enjoin the defendants, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Jen-Feng Lee and Kenneth K. Tanji Jr. of LT Pacific Law Group LLP in City of Industry.
