Couple files suit against Cox Dental Corp., Quick Collect over collection calls

RIVERSIDE – A Riverside County couple alleges a debt collector continued to call them after they revoked consent.

Erwin Graham and Monica Graham filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Eastern Division against Cox Dental Corp., doing business as Gentle Dental Norco; Quick Collect Inc.; and Does 1-10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Monica Graham revoked her consent for the defendants to contact the plaintiffs regarding an alleged debt in April. The plaintiffs holds Cox Dental Corp., Quick Collect Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact them and continued to call after consent was withdrawn.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are representing themselves.
