SAN DIEGO – A Georgia-based bobblehead maker alleges a San Diego company unlawfully sells political-themed products that copy its designs.
Bobbleheads.com LLC filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Wright Bros. Inc., Corey Wright and Casey Wright alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has been harmed by defendants’ activities, including their advertising campaign and unauthorized manufacture, sale and distribution of similarly designed Bobbleheads.com Work, a specific bobble head known as Hillary Clinton Striped Pantsuit Bobblehead. As a result, the plaintiff alleges it suffered economic damages.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, injunctive relief, impound all counterfeit products, constructive trust, general, special, actual, and statutory damages, costs of action, attorneys' fees and additional relief as is just.
