Motorcyclist alleges he was injured trying to avoid collision on Pacific Coast Highway

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County man alleges he was injured after he lost control of his motorcycle to avoid a collision with another motorist.

John Yohan Lee filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Jerome Miller, Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. and Doe Defendant 1 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 14, 2014, he sustained serious physical injuries. The suit states he was riding his motorcycle on Pacific Coast Highway when Miller made an unexpected left turn in front of him, causing the plaintiff to swerve to avoid a collision and lose control. Miller was driving a car owned by Dollar Thrifty at the time of the incident, the suit states. The plaintiff alleges he sustained traumatic injuries, including collapsed lungs, fractures and head trauma.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general damages, actual damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Daniel E. Hoffman of Lee & Associates PC in Los Angeles.
