CALIFORNIA — A California company is suing Quantum, Inc., an Oregon business, citing alleged patent infringement of a migraine relief product.

Akeso Health Sciences, LLC filed a complaint on Dec. 1, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Quantum, Inc. alleging that the Oregon business sells a product that infringes plaintiff's patent.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Akeso Health Sciences, LLC suffered damages to their business. The plaintiff holds Quantum, Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly distributes MigreLief, a migraine relief product, that infringes at least one claim of plaintiff's 450 and 999 patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, interest, increased damages of three times the compensatory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Shawn G. Hansen of Nixon Peabody LLP in Los Angeles.
