SAN FRANCISCO — A man is suing Patriot Contract Services LLC, a vessel owner, citing alleged failure to warn and negligence.

Ali Hussein filed a complaint on Nov. 30, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Patriot Contract Services LLC alleging that the vessel owner breached its duty to provide its employees with a seaworthy vessel.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on March 22, he was injured as he was trying to connect the power plugs aboard defendant's vessel and while performing his regular duties. As a result, he burned his left forearm and suffered from fright shock, humiliation, loss of earnings, hospital expenses, aggravation of a prior condition and mental anguish. The plaintiff holds Patriot Contract Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inform employees about the dangerous areas, failed to inspect and maintain premises in a safe condition, and created a hazardous condition to its employees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, interest, costs, attorney's fees, and expenses. He is represented by Dennis M. O'Bryan of O'Bryan Baun Karamanian in Birmingham, Michigan.
