LOS ANGELES – A Lancaster resident alleges he received solicitation calls without his permission from a hair company.
Carneisha Forney filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Dec. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Hair Club for Men LTD Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from receiving unwanted phone calls from the defendant. The plaintiff holds Hair Club for Men LTD Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff despite his number being registered in the Do-Not-Call registry and despite his requests to stop.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, $1,500 in treble damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
