LOS ANGELES – A Industry corporation is accused of infringing a certain style of UGG boots.
Deckers Outdoor Corp. filed a complaint on April 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Elegant Footwear Inc. and Does 1-10 inclusive alleging that the defendants violated the Lanham Trademark Act of 1946, California Unfair Business Practices Act and Trade Dress Infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants copied its patented UGG Bailey Button Triplet boot design without authorization.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to permanently enjoin further infringement of the patent, award for all damages, costs, attorney's fees and such further relief as may be just and proper.
