RIVERSIDE – A former employee of California Steel Industries alleges his disability benefit claim was wrongfully denied.
William L. Huff filed a complaint on April 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Eastern Division against Life Insurance Co. of North America citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he became disabled and applied for disability benefits and was denied in March 2016. The plaintiff holds Life Insurance Co. of North America responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to pay plaintiff's disability benefits despite being disabled according to the policy.
The plaintiff seeks award benefits due to the plaintiff, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Frank N. Darras, Susan B. Grabarsky and Phillip S. Bather of Darras Law in Ontario.
