LOS ANGELES – A New York business alleges a Florida business infringed one of its headband designs.
Deepa Gurnani LLC filed a complaint on April 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Ambrosia Designs LLC, doing business as Infinity Headbands, and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its designs copied without its consent. The plaintiff holds Ambrosia Designs LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sell a beaded headband derived from plaintiff's design in its website.
The plaintiff seeks enjoin the defendant, all profits, monetary advantages, statutory damages, interest, damages, all legal fees, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Brent H. Blakely and Jessica C. Covington of Blakely Law Group in Manhattan Beach.
