Uber passenger alleges he was injured in collision at intersection

SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco man alleges he was injured as a passenger with an Uber driver.

Mark Davies filed a complaint on April 6 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Mohammad Shahid Malik, Uber Technologies Inc., Chloe Eleanor Rapin and Does 1-10 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 1, 2016, he suffered serious physical injuries and damages when the Uber vehicle he was riding in, operated by Malik, and another vehicle being driven by Rapin collided when they negligently entered the same intersection at the same time. The suit states the incident occurred at Delores and 29th streets.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in an amount to be proven at trial and such other just and proper relief. He is represented by John P. Kristensen, David L. Weisberg and Christina M. Le of Kristensen Weisberg LLP in Los Angeles.
