Individuals allege San Francisco apartment did not comply with safety codes

SAN FRANCISCO – Three tenants allege their landlords failed to inspect and maintain an apartment in a clean, safe and habitable condition.

Gang Chen, Bei Feng and Zhuo Yuan Chen filed a complaint on April 11 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Jian Meng Gu, Tim Weizhong and Does 1 to 20 alleging breach of warranty and other counts.

According to the complaint, the defendants are the owners and property managers of 2442 31st Ave., San Francisco and the plaintiffs moved into the property in November 2006. The plaintiffs holds Gu, Weizhong and Does 1 to 20 responsible because the defendants allegedly knew that the property did not have heath and did not comply with building, housing and safety codes but did not remedy these conditions. 

The plaintiffs seek general damages, special damages, interest, contractual damages, disgorgement and restitution, all legal fees, statutory damages, punitive damages and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Darius T. Chan and John Chow of Chan Chow & Dai, PC in San Francisco.
