SAN FRANCISCO – A woman alleges a Walgreens pharmacy incorrectly filled her prescription.

Anna Ruth Kelley filed a complaint on April 14 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Walgreen Co. and Does 1-50 alleging professional negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016, plaintiff consumed excessive dose of Digoxin toxicity, which caused her to be hospitalized and suffer pain, injury, anxiety and disorientation. The plaintiff holds Walgreen Co. and Does 1-50 responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently failed to fill up the prescription correctly, provided plaintiff with pills that contained more medication per dose than what was prescribed by her physician and improperly labeled the container with instructions to take large and unsafe quantities of the drug.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general and special damages, costs of suit, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other relief as the law may provide. She is represented by R. Boone Callaway of Callaway & Wolf in San Francisco.
