SAN FRANCISCO – An insurance company is seeking subrogation for damages it paid to a homeowner allegedly caused by a defective faucet.

Allstate Insurance Co., as subrogee for Doris Lee, filed a complaint on April 19 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against The Chicago Faucet Co. and Does 1 through 50 alleging negligence and breach of implied warranty.

According to the complaint, Lee suffered water damages to her property in 2015, which was insured by Allstate, because a faucet manufactured by the plaintiffs failed.

The plaintiff holds The Chicago Faucet Co. and Does 1 through 50 responsible because the defendants manufactured an allegedly defective product.

The plaintiff seeks property damages of $8,969.29, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Jason P. Williams and Thomas W. Palecek of Williams, Palecek Law Group LLP in San Diego.
