FRESNO – The city of Fresno has filed a suit against a property owner it alleges has failed to correct code violations.

City of Fresno and people of the state of California filed a complaint on May 12 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Patrice Harper and Does 1-10 alleging that they violated the Fresno Municipal Code.

According to the complaint, the defendants own a North Maple Avenue property whose present condition violates Fresno Municipal Code and is a public nuisance. The plaintiff holds Harper and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to timely and adequately correct the dilapidated roof structure, a broken garage window and clean junk or rubbish.

The plaintiff seeks an order for the defendants to abate all conditions that cause the violations, for payment of all citations issued on the subject property, for the appointment of a receiver to refurbish, sell or demolish the property and for such other relief as the court may deem proper. They are represented by Douglas T. Sloan and Chad T. Snyder of the city of Fresno.
