FRESNO – A Fresno woman has filed a suit against a Catholic church after she fell on the premises.

Carolyn Rose Mamigonian filed a complaint on May 15 in the Fresno County Superior Court against St. Anthony's of Padua and Does 1-20 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 28, 2015, she sustained serious injuries to her left ankle, right knee and back when she fell as she was navigating her way down the steps on the defendants' property. The plaintiff alleges she was required to and did incur medical and incidental expenses.

The plaintiff holds St. Anthony's of Padua and Does 1-20 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide sufficient lighting in the area where she fell, failed to take steps to make the condition safe and/or warn plaintiff and other guest of the existence of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general damages, medical and incidental expenses, interest, costs of suit and such other relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Joseph S. Farzam of Joseph Farzam Law Firm in Los Angeles.
