Concert photographer alleges Multimedia Graphic Network Inc. used photos without permission

Copyright 13

SAN DIEGO – An Indiana photographer who specializes in concert photography alleges that his photos were used without his permission.

Larry Philpot filed a complaint on June 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Multimedia Graphic Network Inc. doing business as MGNOnline.com, alleging that the defendant violated the Copyright Act of 1976.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he applied a copyright from the United States Copyright Office for four collections of his photographs.

The plaintiff holds Multimedia Graphic Network Inc., doing business as MGNOnline.com, responsible because the defendant allegedly sold, marketed, advertised and/or distributed photos that are identical copies of plaintiff's photographs to various television networks across the United States without authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to be awarded all profits of defendants, award of attorneys' fees, prejudgment interest, costs of litigation and such further legal and equitable relief as the court deems proper. He is represented by C. Yong Jeong of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
