FRESNO — A Fresno County woman is suing an agency and raisin packer, alleging sexual discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination.
Linda Florez filed a complaint Sept. 15 in Fresno County Superior Court against Spherion Staffing of Northern California Inc., Spherion Staffing LLC, Boghosian Raisin Packing Company Inc., and Does 1-100, alleging they engaged in or permitted sexual harassment.
According to the complaint, beginning in September 2016, Florez was harassed, discriminated against and retaliated against. The suit says Florez continues to suffer from severe and permanent emotional and mental distress and anguish, humiliation, embarrassment, fright, shock, pain, discomfort and anxiety, as a result of the discriminatory acts of the defendants' agents in subjecting the plaintiff to lewd remarks, indecent exposure.
The lawsuit states Florez was deliberately urinated on, which culminated in her wrongful termination.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to investigate, prevent or remedy the sexual harassment, retaliation and discrimination against Florez, altered the conditions of her employment and created an abusive working environment.
Florez seeks trial by jury, general damages, medical and other related expenses, attorney fees, costs of suit, treble damages and additional damages, interest, punitive and exemplary damages, and all further relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Todd M. Friedman and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
