Motorist alleges rented Ryder truck caused collision

Car accident 38

FRESNO — A Fresno County man is suing Ryder Truck Rental, alleging negligence in the operating a truck and causing a collision.

Armando Aguilar Jr. filed a complaint Oct. 10 in Fresno County Superior Court against Baggie Farms Express Inc., Alan John Walsh and Ryder Truck Rental, alleging violation of the California Vehicle Code.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 8, 2016, while driving on Jensen Avenue 1,500 feet west of De Wolf Avenue, Fresno, Aguilar was struck in the rear by Walsh's truck owned by Ryder Truck. Aguilar says Walsh was in the course of his employment with Baggie Farms Express.

As a result, Aguilar alleges he suffered physical injuries, property damages and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges defendants failed their duty of care and negligently permitted, entrusted, maintained, managed, controlled and operated the vehicle so as to cause a collision with another vehicle.

Aguilar seeks trial by jury, judgment of more than $25,000, plus costs of suit and all fair, just and equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Ron Torem of Torem & Associates in Beverly Hills.
