Motorist alleges driver's negligence caused crash

FRESNO — A motorist is suing another driving, alleging he drove into an intersection without caution, causing a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Patricia Joy Cook filed a complaint Oct. 13 in Fresno County Superior Court against Andrew Lee Fox, alleging the defendant negligently drove and operated his vehicle so as to cause a collision with another vehicle.

According to the complaint,on Nov. 30, 2015, Cook was traveling eastbound on Church Avenue, waiting to make a left turn onto northbound Sierra Vista Avenue in Fresno, when her vehicle was struck by Fox 's vehicle as he proceeded through the intersection. 

As a result, Cook says she sustained physical injuries and incurred hospital and medical expenses. 

The plaintiff alleges Fox failed to keep careful lookout, failed to yield right-of-way and failed to take control of his vehicle.

Cook seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages in excess of $25,000. plus costs of suit and all other fair, just and equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Kara L. Hitchcock of Hitchcock Law Inc. in Fresno.
