Motorist blames another driver for causing crash, injuries

Car accident 15

FRESNO — A Fresno County motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Eva Sanchez filed a complaint Oct. 26 in Fresno County Superior Court against Jesus Ochoa Rodriguez and Does 1-100, alleging failure to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 26, 2016, Sanchez was driving her Chevrolet Impala on Blackstone Avenue in Fresno. The suit says Rodriguez's Dodger Ram SLT 1500 truck collided with Sanchez's car.

Sanchez says she sustained injuries to her body and mind, was injured in her health, strength and activity, suffered from shock, and emotional distress as a result of Rodriguez's negligence in owning, operating, driving, leasing and maintaining a vehicle.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to safely operate a vehicle so as not to cause damage, and failed to pay attention to traffic and keep a proper lookout for other vehicles.

Sanchez seeks trial by jury compensatory damages of at least $25,000 according to proof, costs of suit and all fair and just relief. She is represented by attorney Darrel R. Rustigian of Fresno.
