Motorist blames another driver for causing crash, injuries

Car accident 11

FRESNO — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging their negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Christopher Henderson filed a complaint Oct. 27 in Fresno County Superior Court against Harpal Singh Khatkar, Rupinder K. Bindar and Does 1-25, alleging they failed to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 2, 2015, Henderson was traveling westbound near Newmark Avenue in Fresno. The suit says Khatkar's vehicle suddenly turned directly into the path of Henderson‘s vehicle, causing Henderson's car to collide with the rear of Khatkar's vehicle. As a result of Khatkar's negligent operation, management and maintenance of the defendants' vehicle, Henderson says he sustained personal injuries and damages, including lost wages, lost property and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to prevent the negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failed to yield the right-of-way to Henderson, and failed to be on a proper lookout for other vehicles.

Henderson seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages of more than $25,000, costs of suit and all further relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Timothy W. Mazzela of Law Office of Timothy W. Mazzela in Fresno.
