FRESNO — A Fresno woman is suing Jeep Wrangler's manufacturer, alleging the company breach its warranty in selling a defective vehicle.

Krystal Cacho filed a complaint Nov. 16 in Fresno County Superior Court against FCA US LLC and Does 1-10, alleging the defendants obtained profit through unfair or deceptive trade or commerce.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 30, 2014, Cacho purchased a 2014 Jeep Wrangler for $44,513.25 from Fresno Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. The suit says Cacho lost money or property from purchasing a defective vehicle manufactured by the defendant.

The lawsuit states the Jeep Wrangler was delivered to Cacho with serious defects and non-conformities to warranty and developed other defects, including engine, transmission and electrical problems.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants impaired the use, value and/or safety of the vehicle, failed to remedy the defects, and failed to either promptly replace with a new vehicle or make restitution.

Cacho seeks trial by jury, general, special and actual damages, diminution in value, incidental and consequential damages, interest, attorney fees, costs of suit, and all further relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Mark Romano and Timothy Whelan of Romano Stancroff PC in El Segundo.
