Family accuses motorist of causing crash

Car accident 15

FRESNO — A family is suing a motorist, alleging his negligence caused a crash.

Rosa Maria Casarez, Jesus Diaz, Guillermo Diaz and Christopher Diaz filed a complaint Nov. 22 in Fresno County Superior Court against Tyler Ridley-White and Does 1-20, alleging they failed to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on May 16, 2016, Rosa Maria Casarez, Jesus Diaz, Guillermo Diaz, and Christopher Diaz were traveling along Clinton Avenue near the intersection of Maple Avenue in Fresno when Ridley-White's vehicle suddenly collided with the plaintiffs' car. As a result, the plaintiffs say they suffered injuries, wage loss, loss of use of property and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to safely operate a vehicle so as not to cause damage, failed to pay attention to traffic, and failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, compensatory damages of more than $25,000, costs of suit and all other fair and just relief. They are represented by attorney Edward B. Chatoian of Law Offices of Edward B. Chatoian in Fresno.
