FRESNO — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash.
Tracy Korenak filed a complaint Dec. 4 in the Fresno County Superior Court against David Lester and Does 1-10, alleging failure to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle.
According to the complaint,on July 8, 2016, Korenak was driving on Blackstone Avenue in Fresno. The suit says while she was stopped for some time due to a traffic signal, Lester's vehicle carelessly collided with the plaintiff's 2015 Fiat 500. As a result of the crash, Korenak says she sustained injuries and damages, wage loss and loss of the use of property.
The plaintiff alleges Lester failed to follow at a safe distance behind Korenak's Fiat, failed to slow down or take any precautionary measures and failed to timely apply the brakes. The suit say Lester was texting at the time of the crash.
Korenik seeks trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages of more than $25,000, costs of suit and all other fair and just relief. She is represented by attorney Frank M. Nunes of Law Offices of Frank M. Nunes in Fresno.
