Patient accuses Fresno dentist of negligence

FRESNO — A Fresno patient is suing a dentist, alleging breach of duty and negligence.

Guled Fadumo Abdillah filed a complaint Dec. 20 in Fresno County Superior Court against Dr. William Murphy alleging the defendant failed to provide proper technique, method, or management to administer proper care and treatment.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 27, 2015, Abdillah gave consent to Murphy to extract teeth to fit dentures. Abdillah alleges that during the procedure, she suffered loss of gum and bone, which she discovered from another dentist.

As a result, Abdillah says, she suffered pain, mental anguish, bodily disability and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Murphy failed to render proper care and treatment in an efficient and careful manner while performing the dental procedure.

Abdillah seeks trial by jury, judgment of $100,000, plus costs, and all just and equitable relief. The plaintiff is representing herself.
