SAN DIEGO — An adult content subscription website is suing an unidentified subscriber, alleging copyright infringement.

Strike 3 Holdings LLC filed a complaint Jan. 5 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against John Doe, a subscriber assigned IP address 75.85.181.186, alleging the unknown individual made unauthorized copies of the plaintiff's motion pictures.

According to the complaint, Strike 3 Holdings was damaged from having its motion picture stolen and uploaded to websites. The plaintiff alleges John Doe used the BitTorrent file distribution network to make unauthorized copies of Strike 3's motion picture and distribute it to other users.

Strike 3 Holdings seeks trial by jury, enjoin the defendant, order the defendant to delete and permanently remove all media files relating to the plaintiff, statutory damages, court costs and all further relief the court grants. They are represented by attorney Lincoln D. Bandlow of Fox Rothschild LLP in Los Angeles.
