SAN DIEGO – A San Diego tactical trauma training company alleges its patented surgical simulator product was infringed.
Strategic Operations Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Carol Giannini, Glacier Technical Solutions LLC and Does 1-10 alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered injury to its business and profit as a result of the infringing conduct of the defendants in the unauthorized creation of a Trauma Training Kit, which is nearly identical to plaintiff's patented Cut Suit for use in the defendants' own training programs.
The plaintiff holds Giannini, Glacier Technical Solutions LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly infringed the plaintiff's '403 and '693 patents.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants, award damages, interests, costs, compensatory damages, attorneys' fees and other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Gary L. Eastman of Eastman & McCartney LLP in San Diego.
