LOS ANGELES — A Sonoma County man is suing a competitor, alleging use of an infringed product without consent.
James Walters filed a complaint on Feb. 13, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California Western Division against Trackr Inc. and Does 1-10 for allege patent infringement.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 5, 2017, Walters became the owner of all rights, title and interest of a GPS tracking device called Ifinder Systems. Walters says Trackr has used and/or has without authorization, manufactured, distributed, offered for sale and sold a product identified as TRACKR Bravo and TRACKR Pixel, that were made using the device and application of the plaintiff's 459 Patent that infringes the patent.
The plaintiff alleges Trackr Inc continues to manufacture, sell or offer to sell products that infringe the 459 Patent and made substantial profits to which it is not equitably entitled.
Walters seeks trial by jury, preliminary and permanent injunctions against further infringement, inducement, attorney fees, interest and court costs, plus all other relief the court deems just and proper.
