Passenger seeks damages over alleged injuries after bus was rear-ended in Contra Costa County

Car accident 09

SAN FRANCISCO – A bus passenger alleges she was injured when a motorist rear-ended the bus.

Heather Muncy filed a complaint on March 12 in the Superior Court of California - County of San Francisco against Ricky Elery and Does 1 through 10 alleging motor vehicle negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 13, 2016, she was passenger in a bus traveling in Contra Costa County and Elery rear-ended the bus. As a result, Muncy alleges she suffered personal and bodily injuries.

The plaintiff holds defendants responsible because the defendant Elery allegedly negligently entrusted, managed, maintained, drove, operated, repaired, manufactured and designed the vehicle so as to cause the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for non-economic damages, all medical and incidental expenses, loss of earnings, prejudgment interest, costs of suit, and such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Robert A. Carichoff of Carichoff Law Group PC in Sacramento.
