Woman alleges San Francisco Airbnb property's defective stairs caused fall

Slip02

SAN FRANCISCO – A San Bernardino County woman alleges that she fell at an Airbnb property because of the condition of an exterior staircase.

Helen Romero filed a complaint on March 21 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Stanley Attrap, Michelle Attrap, Airbnb, and Does 1-50 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 9, 2016, she was lawfully upon defendants' Arch Street, San Francisco premises when she tripped and fell due to the dangerous and defective exterior stairs. She alleges the stairs did not have a handrail or lighting.

The plaintiff holds Stanley Attrap, Michelle Attrap, Airbnb, and Does 1-50 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to make the necessary repairs or warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants for general damages, sums incurred, interest, costs of relief, and further relief as the court deems proper. She is represented by Marvin Amoroso of Homan & Stone in Redlands.
