LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) – A South Korean corporation alleges a corporation with a principal place of business in Newark unlawfully used one of its designs.
NS Int'l Textiles filed a complaint on April 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Jollychic Inc., Haiyan Li and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff creates or purchases and obtains two-dimensional artwork for use in textiles and garments. It alleges that the defendants used its NS099 artwork in garments and fabric without the plaintiff's authorization.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants, award all profits of defendants, statutory damages, attorney's fees, interest, costs of litigation, and further relief as the court deems proper. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
