Medical malpractice 06

SAN FRANCISCO – A couple is seeking damages from a paving company over claims that substandard work on a street in San Francisco caused a resident to fall.

Aaron Strickland and Sarah Strickland filed a complaint on April 3 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Telfer Pavement Technologies, doing business as Telfer Highway Technologies and Does 1-10 alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on May 19, 2016, Aaron Strickland walked onto the street to retrieve a ball thrown by his son, slid on the loose aggregate and fell. The suit states he needed surgeries to repair his ankle and leg.

The plaintiffs hold Telfer Pavement Technologies and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly performed microsurfacing work in the 1600 block of 43rd Avenue in a substandard manner, failed to warn residents that the street was possibly hazardous and failed to inspect the street.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants for damages, loss of earnings, loss of consortium. They are represented by Eric M. Lightman of Law Offices of Eric M. Lightman in San Francisco.
